We are both Social Work Qualified (1991) including the Social Work Practice Teaching Award (2008) and ADHD Coach Qualified (2009). All CRB checks are complete and we are registered with the General Social Care Council.
We have worked in residential care, with young offenders, area teams, within education, foster care and in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. In every post we have worked with a special interest and knowledge of ADHD and ASC.
Wraparound Services evolved as we feel strongly that these children, young people and adults have so much to offer, yet their hidden disability means that they are frequently misunderstood and their strengths are overlooked.
This lack of understanding saddens and frustrates us as it so often results in marginalizing the child/adult, thereby limiting their life chances.
To make a difference, our ASC and ADHD services offer more than good presentation: Wraparound has a depth of learning, years of direct experience in both a personal and professional context, and most importantly we have passion.
All of our work is evaluated and, as such, we can provide feedback and recommendations. Wraparound has links with many other agencies. We have regular private supervision so as to monitor and evaluate our own standards of practice.
